New Academic Programs Launching Next Semester
In response to evolving global demands and student interests, we are proud to announce the launch of three new academic programs starting next semester. These include a Bachelor's in Data Science, Master's in Sustainable Development, and a Certificate Program in Digital Marketing. Each program has been carefully designed with input from industry experts to ensure our graduates are well-prepared for the challenges of tomorrow's job market.
The Bachelor of Science in Data Science program combines coursework in mathematics, statistics, computer science, and domain-specific applications. Students will develop expertise in data collection, analysis, visualization, and interpretation – skills that are increasingly valuable across virtually all industries.
'Data science has emerged as one of the most in-demand fields globally,' explained Dr. Marat Dzhumaliev, Dean of the School of Computing and Mathematics. 'Our program provides a comprehensive foundation while emphasizing practical applications and ethical considerations in data analysis.'
The Master's program in Sustainable Development addresses the complex challenges of economic development, social equity, and environmental protection. This interdisciplinary program will prepare graduates to work in government agencies, international organizations, NGOs, and the private sector.
'Sustainable development is perhaps the defining challenge of our time,' said Dr. Ainura Kerimbekova, Director of the new program. 'Our curriculum integrates perspectives from economics, environmental science, public policy, and social studies to equip students with the holistic understanding needed to address these multifaceted issues.'
The Certificate Program in Digital Marketing offers both degree-seeking students and working professionals the opportunity to develop specialized skills in this rapidly evolving field. The program covers social media marketing, search engine optimization, content creation, analytics, and digital strategy.
'Digital marketing has transformed how organizations connect with their audiences,' noted Dr. Bakyt Orozov, Chair of the Marketing Department. 'This certificate program provides practical, hands-on training that participants can immediately apply in their careers.'
Applications for all three programs are now open for the Fall 2025 semester. Prospective students can find detailed information about admission requirements, curriculum, and career opportunities on our website or by contacting the respective department offices.
